Make a good confession. If it helps you acknowledge your sin and stay accountable, meet with a pastor or mentor to pray, and confess your sins to God. Exhale. Receive His forgiveness and walk again in His grace. Inhale.
When guilt causes us to avoid God, that’s when it turns debilitating. We choose to live in self-imposed exile, forgetting that exile is not in Jesus' plan.
Why waste time in exile when God is offering us a way back to freedom?
Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins. In Your mercy, forget and forgive what I have been. Amen.
