Do you find it hard to hear from God? Read: God, Why Can’t I Hear You?

“I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion.” Proverbs 8:12

Every day we face many decisions. We cannot make it on our own even though we sometimes think we can. Life isn’t about throwing up a coin and saying, Heads you win. Tails I lose. It is with God’s resources that we are able to make healthy, wise choices for our life.

In I Kings 3, God gave Solomon His wisdom making him the wisest man in history. King Solomon knew that we all need wisdom from God to make it through life. He said:

Proverbs 8: 12 (CEV), “I am Wisdom—Common Sense is my closest friend”.

Proverbs 8:14 (CEV) ”I am Strong and I offer sensible advice and sound judgment.

Choices hit us every which way.  Do I take the new job, and how would that affect my investments?  How do I respond to my child’s questions? How can I keep my marriage healthy?  What about this certain ethical issue?  None of us are exempt from decisions. But be encouraged; we don’t have to do this alone.

Because God says, I am Wisdom and I am Strong.  The end result is summed up in verse 33: “Listen carefully to my instructions, and you will be wise.”

Do you have to make an important decision? Seek God and He will lead you to the answers needed. Some are easy, while others are tough. As Solomon said, listen and be wise! God won’t fail you.

All-wise God, thank You that You grant us Your wisdom and Your Strength if we ask. Help us as we face our week, to lean on You asking for guidance in every life issue. Thank you that You are Wisdom and You are Strong and because of that we can be wise. Amen.
