He is risen! So go, share the Good News!
Mary Magdalene was one of Jesus’ most devoted followers. Jesus cast out seven demons from her, and throughout the Gospels, we read about her love for Jesus. She was a woman of great faith, and stuck close by Jesus throughout His ministry.
Mary Magdalene was the first person to discover that Jesus’ tomb was empty, and she was also the first person Jesus appeared to after His resurrection.
This woman with a broken past, a woman who was considered to be on the fringes of society, was the first to be called by name by the resurrected Lord.
She was the first person to see Jesus for who He truly is: the Savior of the world!
After Mary Magdalene saw Him, Jesus tells her to go spread the news to His disciples. He is alive!
This Easter, how will you spread the Good News?
Dear Jesus, thank You that You have risen! That You have defeated death and have give us life! Help us to share Your Good News with those around us today, on Easter. Amen.
