For the saint, the resurrection evokes wonder at the miraculous, but for the skeptic, it can sound ludicrous. Christ's resurrection is the foundational belief of the Christian faith, and more importantly, Christ's resurrection distinguishes Christianity from all other faiths. In 1 Corinthians 15:16, the apostle Paul reiterates that "If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is [our] faith."

As Christians, do we realize we serve a great and glorious risen Savior? Often, in today's multi-faith society, we can easily forget that our faith prioritizes relationship over ritualistic religion. In Christ, we have complete assurance and confidence that Jesus, through his death and resurrection, conquered death and hell. He entered Heaven's most holy place to offer an acceptable sacrifice for our sin. Now, at the Father's right hand, he is our faithful intercessor, our living redeemer, our blessed hope, and our future coming King.

So, how does serving a risen Savior influence how we embrace our faith in a fallen world? We prioritize and nurture our relationship with Jesus. In prayer, we come before his throne with a humble prostrate heart, and purge our souls of anything that compromises our spiritual integrity. Clothed in his righteousness, and in the power of his Spirit, we intentionally, confidently, and boldly share his glorious gospel with the world, and prayerfully await his glorious return.

Dear heavenly Father, thank you that I serve a living God who understands my sorrows, struggles, and sin, and who graciously and faithfully intercedes for me and cleanses me from all sin. Help me to realize that you are an ever-present companion in my life. Empower me to proclaim your truth to a fallen world.

Throughout This Day: Take the time to reflect on the risen Lord. Ask God to reveal any un-confessed sin in your life. Prayerfully meditate on Hebrews 4:14-16. Share your insights with someone.
