How often do you let anxiety take over your life? As Christians, we are called to cast our anxieties on the Lord, but that is often easier said than done. The world is full of situations that promote anxiety, worry, doubt, or uncertainty. I often feel anxious when I have no control over things that will have a big effect on me and my life, and the Lord knows that, but he wants me to remember that he has overcome the world.

When we feel anxious about a worldly problem, the Lord instructs us to go to him in prayer. We are encouraged to let go of the thing that is making us anxious, and hand it off to God. Anxiety has no place in a relationship with Jesus.

The fact that we have a God who can sympathize with us and take away our stress and anxiety is so great that our response should be to worship him and be thankful. How much less stress would there be in each and every one of our lives if we stopped worrying so much and started worshiping?

If this verse was truly taken to heart, and we took it into effect in our lives, I am sure that we would be people who did not get caught up in the struggle but were instead able to find joy through Jesus!

Lord, please help me as I try to hand over my struggles and anxieties to you. Thank you for offering a helping hand in my times of need. Remind me that I do not have to face the challenges of the world alone. Amen.
