The Truth About Soul Mates

Challenge your thinking about soul mates

1. If you're married:

Have you ever had a really bad fight with your spouse and thought, "We never should have gotten married. Maybe my spouse isn't "The One"? It's time to banish that thinking. When there's discord between you and your spouse, the Enemy is going to do everything he can to push you apart. Refuse to believe the lie that there's only one person for you and your spouse may or may not be that person. You don't FIND your soul mate; you BECOME soul mates by opening up to each other in the deepest possible ways. Recommit to becoming soul mates.

2. If you're not married:

Stop pressuring yourself to find the one person in all the world who is just right for you. Let go of the idea that a perfect someone is out there. Accept that if you get married, you're going to marry a human being who is both flawed and beautiful. Spend some time in prayer asking God to develop the qualities in you that will make you a great spouse when the time comes.
